Dynamic imagery and intense, saturated color are at the heart of each of Parish Kohanim’s photographs, driven by his passion for his work and the creative approach he takes in every project. Over the course of his 25 years as a photographer, Kohanim has never been a follower of popular trends, rather he has focused on his desire to create work that is original, timeless, emotional and soulful. “Photography has given me an expanded vision of the majestic beauty of the world,” he says.

Kohanim’s career began in commercial photography. His talent caught the eye of major advertising agencies, design firms and Fortune 500 companies, including Coca-Cola, De Beers and Fossil, which also led to his work being featured in such widely read publications as Vogue, Bazaar, Forbes and Time.

The recipient of many national and international awards, Kohanim found his greatest creative freedom in fine art photography. “It’s expression of my inner soul because I am photographing something that speaks to me,” says the photographer, who displays his work in his Atlanta-based gallery. “I start with a concept and let the creative process guide me. I find the natural world inspiring, transformative and meditative. I get my best ideas in that space.”
